The Eduard Tubina Museum in Alatskivi Castle was completed in the spring of 2011 in cooperation with Alatskivi Municipality and the Estonian Theater and Music Museum. The museum exposition gives a good overview of the life and work of one of Estonia's most famous composer - Eduard Tubin. The beginning of the exposition introduces well-known musical figures who studied with Tubina under Heino Eller, the so-called Tartu school - Eduard Oja, Alfred Karindi, Olav Roots, Karl Leichter. Tubina's manuscripts, recordings and books can be viewed and listened to in the museum. There are musical instruments related to Tubin, audio records and theater designs. It is also possible to view films and photos taken by Tubin himself.
Lectures and concerts take place in the Chamber Hall. From the information computer, you can get a complete list of Tubin's creations, browse the virtual exhibition prepared for his 100th birthday and the virtual photo album.
Of course, Tubin's music is playing - the raison d'etre of this museum.
